St Francis VMC was established in 2022 by Dr. Steven Lewis and Hospital Manager April Hendricks-Lewis, the facility’s sole mission is to provide exceptionally high level medicine, surgery and oral care to the pets of Morris County, NJ and beyond, in a small town, family owned atmosphere. The hospital was designed and built by Acorn Design and Construction, with input from Dr. Lewis and his mentors along the way. The team at St Francis strives to make every pet parent feel like family while at the same time providing the highest possible levels of both care and communication. As pet parents themselves, the Lewis Family knows how it feels to have furry family members and does everything in their power to protect those in their care.

The support staff and paraprofessionals at St Francis are family as well, helping the Lewis family to support and build the practice while maintaining the high level of care and communication expected by our Pet Parents. The clinic is outfitted with a complete suite of diagnostic laboratory machines, the latest in both digital radiography and small animal ultrasound, a soft tissue surgery suite and a dental surgery suite as well as four exam rooms, including a compassion room for more sensitive visits.
